Glow plugs look a lot like a
spark plug but operate differently. A glow starter is used to get the tiny coil
inside the plug to "glow" once the engine is running the glow is
maintained from the ignition of the fuel.

All Nitro fuels use glow plugs. Glow plugs are available in Short, Long, Hot, Normal and with an Idler bar. Remember to keep a 5/16" or 8mm socket handy to install and remove your plug. See list below for reference of the different uses (this is not everything):
Short: This
is more common in larger motors (same as O.S. A3) plug.
Long: This
is a common size (same as a O.S. #8) plug.
Hot: Only
for problem engines loosing compression.
With Idler Bar: Only
for problem motors.
Starting can be done by following steps:

STEP 1: Attach Glow Starter to
engine STEP 2:
Locate Starter
Belt
STEP 3: Attach one side of the
belt to the flywheel.

STEP 4: Attach the other side to the electric
Starter
and turn over the engine.
