PRIVACY POLICY

FunRCBoats is dedicated to providing a safe and satisfying online experience. Your privacy is important to us. Any information FunRCBoats gathers about you is primarily used to enable us to better serve you. Depending on the service you are accessing, you may be asked to provide information such as your name, e-mail address, and other contact information.

At FunRCBoats we log several pieces of anonymous information about your visit. This data cannot be used to identify any one individual or to link back to any personally identifiable information like your name, e-mail address, phone number, date or birth, or where you live. We record information about your computer, such as the browser type, operating system, and IP address for administrative purposes only. This gives us an idea of what pages are being visited and what technologies we are able to use on this Web site.

Under certain circumstances we need specific personal information to provide a personalized service that you have requested. All data that specifically tells us who you are is completely confidential. FunRCBoats does not collect this information against your will and will NOT share this information. The amount of personally identifiable information that you choose to disclose to us is completely up to you and we will always give you the option to remove your personal information from our database.


Web Site Security
FunRCBoats has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary, and only authorized individuals have access to information provided by our visitors. When collecting sensitive information we employ the latest technology to encrypt this data before it is sent over the internet or our internal network.

Security

This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.
When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.

ORDERS (all orders shipped to an APO will be shipped by USPS Priority Insured Mail and may need to be FAXED to us)

SHIPPING of ORDERS - We try to process orders the same day they are received. However, many times orders are processed the next business day for shipment due to our shipping departments work load. NOTE: UPS 2 Day air only applies to "business" days - NOT weekends. In other words your order will not arrive on a Saturday. If the address a customer provides us is "undeliverable" by the transporting agency, then the customer will be responsible for all associated shipping charges.

CREDIT CARD ORDERS - All orders are handled through a secure link for payment. FunRCBoats accepts MasterCard and Visa credit cards as payment on all orders, worldwide. All prices are in U.S. Dollars. When using your credit card, you must provide your credit card billing address, if different from the shipping address and daytime/evening phone numbers. If the billing address does not match that which is on file at the financial institution or if authorization is not given for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel the order without notification. We cannot work out credit card problems with the financial institution; you must settle problems with them and reorder once the problem is resolved. All orders shipped to an APO will be shipped by USPS Priority Insured Mail and may need to be FAXED to us.

COD ORDERS - We do not send or accept COD (collect on delivery) orders of any kind.

PERSONAL CHECK POLICY - We accept personal checks, however, we must wait 5 to 7 business days for the funds to clear before your order is shipped. To ensure that your order is shipped as quickly as possible, please use a valid credit card. Business checks are treated as regular personal checks. Customers whose checks are returned to us because of non-sufficient funds will be charged $25.00 for handling in addition to the amount of the check. If it becomes necessary for us to use an attorney or collection agency, you will be responsible for all collection fees.

CREDITS - Any credits left on your account with us can be used toward a future order. At your request, we will issue a refund for any outstanding credit on your account for any reason. We will credit your credit card account. Any credit not redeemed nor refunded within a one year period will be assessed a service charge fee. Any outstanding balance due will be added to your next order. We do not assume any responsibility for bank fees incurred as a result of using a Debit Card for your purchases and/or return credit.

BACKORDERS - We backorder out-of-stock merchandise whenever possible, unless you specify that you do not want an item backordered. Certain sale merchandise, products with uncertain availability, items priced under $10.00 and discontinued items may not be backordered. We only charge for shipping once per order and will not charge you shipping again for shipment of any backorders. Backorders shipped to international addresses or via "Express" shipping methods will incur special shipping charges with each shipment. You may cancel your backorders at any time, unless they are deemed to be Special Order items.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS - FunRCBoats can ship to anywhere in the world, but reserves the right to decline the sale of product at our discretion. Please use your credit card. All information submitted is retained by management and will not be available or shared with any individuals or other companies. The customer will be responsible for all duty, faxes, tariffs, shipping, currency conversion, or ANY other import charges that may be associated to the shipment of the order, upon entry into your country. Under no circumstances will we falsify invoices or shipping labels. All prices are in U.S. Dollars. All orders shipped to an APO will be shipped by USPS Priority Insured Mail and may need to be FAXED to us.

UNSHIP-ABLE ITEMS - FunRCBoats is obligated to comply with all rules and regulations governing commercial shipping. Due to this, we are not able to ship flammable items such as fuel or batteries.

RETURNING MERCHANDISE - Complete the online form for a Return Authorization request for a R/A number. We will accept merchandise for return that was purchased from FunRCBoats within 30 days of receipt. The merchandise must be in new and unused condition and in its original packaging. Any mounting, running, cutting, installing or discarding of the packaging materials constitutes used merchandise. Once merchandise is received and deemed in good condition by our staff, the merchandise will be credited back to you (your credit card) less the original shipping fees. We do not accept ANY return shipments COD or billed to FunRCBoats in any way. If a package is refused for ANY reason, the customer will still be responsible for ALL shipping charges associated with the shipment. A restocking fee may also apply. No returns of special ordered items are accepted.

DEFECTIVE RETURNS - If the item you wish to return is inoperable, but has no apparent damage, it is considered defective. The instructions on how to handle this type of return will vary, since some manufacturers insist on handling defects directly. Defective merchandise may be returned to us as long as it is in new and unused condition. Defective merchandise which has already been used should be returned directly to the manufacturer.

Manufacturer defects found after the product has been used revert to the manufacturer’s warranty (a copy of which can be obtained upon customer request) and they will handle any problems for you directly. If you can determine that a product is defective before using it, we may be able to accept it back for exchange or refund; however, we suggest that you call our Order Assistance line before taking any action.

DAMAGED GOODS - Damaged merchandise includes items that have been damaged in shipping. If a shipment arrives at your door with apparent shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have already accepted delivery and then find shipping damage, please call our Order Assistance line immediately. If possible, do not open the package. Save any packaging material and paperwork; do not throw anything away! If you attempt to return the merchandise yourself, you will jeopardize our chances of making a claim, and you may not receive credit for the return.

YOUR CUSTOMER NUMBER - Your customer number can be found on your invoice or mailing. Please use the same customer number and name whenever you contact us. If you know that you have created more than one customer account, please let us know so that we may correct the duplicate record.

QUESTIONS OR CHANGES TO RECENTLY PLACED ORDERS - If you have placed an order with FunRCBoats recently and need some information about it or would like to change it in some way, you may contact us. Please note that since we begin processing your order immediately after receiving it, modifications may not always be possible depending on how much time has already elapsed.

PARENTAL ORDER VERIFICATION - Un-established customers under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to verify any order placed by phone before an order will be processed. Also, our phone representatives may limit the length of inquiry calls.

LIMITS OF RESPONSIBILITY - We accept no responsibility for crash damage, misuse, and/or loss of kits, engines, accessories, etc. incurred during operation of a radio-controlled model. In most cases, it is very difficult or impossible to determine whether crash damage was actually due to radio equipment failure or to operator error. Also, we cannot be held responsible for any purchased components that are incorporated into radio systems or problems caused by incompatibility between radio components, parts, and repairs not completed by our service center, etc.

PRICE AND/OR DESCRIPTION CHANGES - All prices, pictures and descriptions on this site FunRCBoats are subject to change without notice. FunRCBoats maintains no responsibility for inadvertent errors. Please contact us within 30 days regarding price or promotion discrepancies.
